Start of main content

Assignia received the AENA Award for Excellence and Best Practices in Infrastructure for its work on the expansion of the Adolfo Suárez-Madrid-Barajas airport.

Assignia Infraestructuras has developed construction and maintenance projects in over 10 Spanish airports.

In 2012, the company received the prestigious AENA Award for Excellence and Best Practices in Infrastructure thanks to its work on the expansion of the Madrid-Barajas Airport, the main airport construction in Spain.

At these facilities, it executed the East Airbridge platform and the Airport Services Tunnel, which links the two airport terminals under the runways and which was completed in a record time of 6 months.

Assignia's experience in the sector also includes airport installations and buildings, control, communications and signalling facilities.

In recent years, the company, which has its own asphalt plants and machinery for building runways, has been awarded various projects at the following Spanish airports:

  • Barajas Airport. Madrid.
  • El Prat Airport. Barcelona.
  • Asturias Airport. Oviedo.
  • Mahón Airport. Minorca.
  • Manises Airport. Valencia.
  • Parayas Airport. Santander.
  • El Altet Airport. Alicante.
  • Gran Canaria Las Palmas Airport.
